Presentation on Transformation of Monterey Regional Airport
Chris Morello, Deputy Executive Director of Monterey Regional Airport (MRY), will present the MRY Metamorphosis and the Safety Enhancement Program. The airport is undergoing a metamorphosis to make way for constructing new federally required safety enhancement projects. The MRY Metamorphosis is a multiphase transformation that includes a replacement passenger terminal and an adjacent aircraft parking apron, which is currently underway with the terminal groundbreaking anticipated in 2025. The modern and efficient terminal building is designed to be a welcoming gateway representing the beauty and charm of the Monterey Region.
