Hello PMI Monterey Bay members,
Spring is bringing exciting opportunities to connect, learn, and give back to the community. This month we’re highlighting a members-only industry tour, a community volunteer opportunity, a global PMI event, and local project management career opportunities.

Call for PMI Monterey Bay Board Nominations
PMI Monterey Bay is currently seeking members interested in serving on our Board of Directors. Board service is a meaningful way to give back, build leadership experience, and help shape the future of our chapter.
Open positions include:

Interested in learning more or submitting a nomination (including self-nominations)?
Email past-president@pmi-mbay.org by March 31 for consideration or to learn more about a specific role. Elections will be held in May–June, with terms beginning July 1, 2026.
PMP® Exam Updates Coming July 2026
The PMP® exam is evolving to reflect the future of project management, with a sharper focus on the skills and mindsets driving meaningful results in today’s world.

Joby Aviation
27 March 2026 | 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM | Marina, CA
PMI Monterey Bay has been invited to tour the Joby Aviation facility in Marina, CA. This is a unique opportunity to see operations up close, learn how teams work behind the scenes, and insight into large-scale technical programs.
Attendance is limited to the first 15 registered PMI Monterey Bay members.
Advance registration and completion of a required NDA will be necessary.

Sea Otter Classic | PMI Monterey Bay Volunteer Opportunity
16-19 April | Laguna Seca Recreational Area, Monterey, CA
PMI Monterey Bay has been approved as a community partner for the Sea Otter Classic 2026, and we’re inviting members to volunteer alongside fellow PMs while supporting a major community event.
Why volunteer?
- Support a world-class local event
- Volunteer hours credited to PMI Monterey Bay
- Connect with members in a fun, active setting
- Food, snacks, and water provided
How to participate
- Sign up for a volunteer shift and select “PMI Monterey Bay” as your Group/Organization
- Volunteers check in onsite at Laguna Seca on the day of their shift
Spots are limited, and group shifts require a minimum commitment, so early sign-ups are encouraged.
